Ro-Kyu-Bu! (ロウきゅーぶ!) is a Japanese light novel series written by Sagu Aoyama, with illustrations by Twinkle. The series began publication on February 10, 2009 by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko publishing imprint.
The series won the Silver Prize in the 15th Dengeki Novel Prize.
Synopsis[]
Subaru Hasegawa has the ambition to become one of the best basketball superstars of all time. However, this comes to an apparent halt when his school's basketball team ceases activities for a year. Shocked by the news, he decides not to involve himself in basketball anymore.
One day, his aunt Mihoshi Takamura invites him to coach the Keishin Academy girls’ basketball team on how to play the sport, and he reluctantly agrees. He meets sixth-graders Tomoka Minato, Maho Misawa, Airi Kashii, Hinata Hakamada and Saki Nagatsuki, and begins training them in the sport with one goal: to defeat all strong opponents along the way.
Ro-Kyu-Bu! follows the effort of five elementary girls and their coach as they their cute style of playing basketball.

Anime[]
An anime adaptation of the light novel. Aired for 12 episodes between July 1, 2011 and September 23, 2011. The season adapts the first 4 volumes of the light novel but a lot of content is missed. The second season of the anime that adapts the light novel. Aired for 12 episodes between July 5, 2013 and September 27, 2013. The season adapts volumes 6 - 9, 11 - 12 but alot of content is missed.
